Keyboard Shortcuts

Shortcut keys help provide an easier and quicker method of navigating and executing commands in DART software.

| ALT + T | Opens a new tab Note: Maximum 8 open tabs allowed at a time |
| ALT + W | Closes the currently selected tab |

| ALT + SHIFT + S | Opens save query overlay if search panel has any query text |
| ALT + Q | Opens Specialized Search. |

| SHIFT + N | Switch to Comments (Notes) View |

| Document Viewer and Activities | |
| ALT + H | Opens the coding history overlay of the selected document |
| ALT + M | Opens the metadata overlay of the selected document |
| ALT + A | A new annotation will open prefilled with last used type and Choice |
| ALT + T | Opens a new annotation with the selected text as a segment |
| ALT + C | Opens the annotation of selected segment in edit mode |
| ALT + G | In annotation edit mode, adds the selected text as segment |
| ALT + O | Clear/remove all newly added segments of an annotation that are yet to be saved. |
| ALT + L | When the annotation view is selected in document activity, it removes the selected segment of a multi segment annotation. Annotation should not be in read only status (Exported or Accepted) |
| ALT + N | Opens the new comment prefilled with last used comment type |
| ALT + S | Save the recently made updates in the document activity |

Assign Coding choices |
Use to assign a keyboard shortcut combo (from 10 available lists of ALT + <Digit> combinations) to a choice of an existing field. Once assigned, while reviewing a document. You can set the choice for the field at the document level by clicking the key while reviewing a document. If you have an annotation in edit mode, then the same keyboard shortcut can be clicked to assign a choice at the annotation level for the document. |
| Assign Annotation Status | Use to assign a keyboard shortcut combo (from 10 available list of Shift + <Digit> combinations) to a predefined annotation status. Once assigned, you can assign the status by pressing the corresponding shortcut for a selected annotation, and it will get saved automatically. |
